KALAMAZOO, MI - Wax Wings Brewing Company hosted a casual beer pong tournament on Saturday, March 22, during March Madness.

There was no entry fee for patrons who took part in the double-elimination beer pong event, featuring prizes and giveaways.

The tournament that included eight teams of two got underway while fans watched second round action of the NCAA basketball games on multiple televisions, and enjoyed pitchers of the day’s featured house brew, Kalamazoo’s Finest, for $15.

“We think that’s a good one to pair with college basketball and beer pong!” said T.J. Waldofsky, a partner at the brewery.

The three-hour event kicked off at 1 p.m. at the brewery located at 3480 Gull Lake Rd.

Waldofsky said turnout was a little smaller than expected but the ping pong balls soared, brews poured, and good times rolled all the same.

“Just a little something fun to do,” he said.
